My iPhone 14 Pro Finally Got Replaced – Unboxing the 17 Pro

After holding onto the iPhone 14 Pro for years, I finally made the jump to the iPhone 17 Pro.
In this video, I’ll walk you through the unboxing, give you a look at what’s inside the box, and explain exactly why I decided to upgrade — especially from a content creator’s point of view.

📸 The front-facing camera upgrade was a huge factor for me.
It’s now 18MP and supports Center Stage, which means I can shoot vertical but frame for horizontal — perfect for my workflow. This video was actually filmed on the iPhone 17 Pro using the Blackmagic Camera App, with live monitoring via my 14 Pro.

🧰 Gear used in this video:
• iPhone 17 Pro (Silver) – https://amzn.to/3WLwu44
• iPhone 14 Pro (monitor + controller) – https://amzn.to/43ntj6h
• DJI Osmo Pocket 3 (unboxing shots) – https://amzn.to/4ovB8zh
• Atomos Ninja V – https://amzn.to/4ovXLU9
• Blackmagic Camera App – https://apps.apple.com/us/app/blackmagic-camera/id6449580241

⸻

📦 What’s in the box?
• iPhone 17 Pro
• USB-C to USB-C woven cable
• Paperwork + SIM-free info sheet

Yes… something did go wrong during the first shoot 😅 but that turned into a chance to test the 17 Pro’s camera in a real setup. You’ll see a major hiccup mid-unboxing.

⸻

💬 Let me know in the comments:
Do you think the 17 Pro’s front camera is good enough for creator work?
And are you holding off upgrading — or making the jump?
