Project Ramos Community Privacy Policy

Project Ramos Community is operated by Project Ramos and is a community for Project Ramos posts, discussions, videos, and livestreams. This policy explains what information the Community uses and why.

Information you provide

When you sign in with Apple or Google, the Community receives a stable provider account identifier and the basic profile information you authorize. This may include your name and email address and, for Google, your profile image. If you use Apple’s Hide My Email option, the Community receives Apple’s private relay address instead of your personal email address. Provider email addresses are used for account communication and account linking, and are not used as the permanent account key.

You may contact Project Ramos without creating an account. If you do, the name, reply email address, subject, and message you provide are used to deliver and respond to your private inquiry. Limited technical information is temporarily processed to prevent spam, enforce sending limits, and suppress duplicate submissions.

You may choose a separate Project Ramos community display name and profile image. The Community stores posts, comments, replies, reminder choices, reports, and moderation records you create.

YouTube information and permissions

Watching an embedded YouTube video does not require the Community to obtain extra access to your YouTube account. If you choose to participate in YouTube Live Chat inside Project Ramos Community, Google asks you to authorize the minimum YouTube permission needed to identify your channel, read the live conversation, and send your message to the actual YouTube Live Chat as that channel.

The Community may store your YouTube channel ID, channel name, avatar, authorization status, and encrypted OAuth credentials so the feature can continue without asking you to reconnect every time. OAuth credentials are stored on the server and are not exposed to browser JavaScript or other members.

The Project Ramos creator account separately authorizes read-only access to discover and synchronize scheduled, active, and completed Project Ramos livestreams.

How information is used

Information is used to operate accounts and profiles, publish community content, support moderation and spam control, send requested reply emails and livestream reminders, synchronize official Project Ramos YouTube livestream status, show the identity that will post a YouTube Live Chat message, and diagnose service failures.

Sharing and service providers

Public profile names, posts, comments, and YouTube Live Chat messages are visible to other users as part of the service. A message sent through the Live Chat feature is sent to YouTube and is subject to YouTube and Google policies.

Project Ramos uses hosting, email, notification, media, Google, and YouTube services to operate the Community. Information is shared with those providers only as needed to provide the requested feature, protect the service, or comply with law. Project Ramos does not sell Google user data or use it for advertising.

Google API data

Project Ramos Community’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. YouTube features are also governed by the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.

Retention, control, and deletion

Account and community records are retained while needed to operate the Community, meet security or legal obligations, and honor user choices. You can change your Project Ramos display name and reply-email preference from your profile, block and unblock other members, and revoke Project Ramos access from your Google or Apple account settings. Contact-form rate-limit and duplicate-detection records expire automatically.

You can permanently delete a community account and all comments posted by that account directly from the iPhone or iPad app’s Account tab. You may also request deletion through the Community’s Delete Account page. Deleting a Project Ramos account does not automatically delete messages already sent to YouTube; those are controlled through YouTube.

Security and changes

Project Ramos uses access controls, request validation, encrypted OAuth-token storage, minimal permissions, and logging designed to exclude credentials. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

This policy may be updated as Project Ramos Community changes. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are published.
